With a new addition to the Egan family, Niamh adjusts to motherhood and begins to take more of an interest in her father's business dealings. Brian is getting dangerously low on funds but he always has an idea or two up his sleeves.
A drunken night of passion has lasting consequences for Brendan and Siobhan, leaving them to consider the future of their friendship.
Peter is forced to make a choice between his feelings and his work. As much as he would like to sit on the fence, it's no longer an option. Assumpta is also considering her future and her choice shocks everyone, not least Peter. It's a situation he can't live with, but his change of heart may have come too late.
