SERIES 1
Ballykissangel's new priest is not everything the community expected. Father Peter Clifford is English, looks about twelve years old and isn't afraid to confront his superiors if the need arises.
He's thrown in at the deep end when local entrepreneur Brian Quigley decides to bring the church into the 20th century - with a fax-equipped confessional.
Slightly less of a challenge is Niamh's engagement to the local garda. With just days to go, Ambrose decides there's a spiritual reason why he can't go through with the wedding.
Father Clifford's biggest challenge is winning over the fiesty, atheist, bar owner, Assumpta Fitzgerald. He does his best to persuade her that if she could see past the dog collar she might like him a lot more.
