Ballykissangel's creator, Kieran Prendiville takes us back to the village for a sixth series. A year has passed since the end of series five and a new Australian priest, Vincent Sheahan (Robert Taylor), has arrived to take over from Father Aidan O'Connell. Also new to the series are Edso (Paul Ronan), who runs the garage and Louis (Mick Lally), a mountainy man who most people find totally unintelligible, but he's got a few surprises up his sleeve. Another new addition is Avril (Susannah Doyle) who runs stables near the village. Susannah is the daughter of Tony Doyle, who played Brian Quigley and who sadly passed away earlier this year.

For other Ballykissangel regulars like the Dooley family, Frankie, Brendan, Liam and Donal there are fresh challenges ahead.
