SERIES 4 - EPISODE 1

ALL BAR ONE

The Fitzgerald's is up for auction and Quigley is keen to buy. In an attempt to mislead other potential buyers, he uses Liam and Donal to paint over and knock down all signposts leading to Bally K. As they are doing this, a stranger enters town driving past them at great speed, it later materializes that this is the estranged Sean Dillon.

Meanwhile back in the village, Quigley tries to convince Niamh to run Fitzgerald's for him, he needs her, due to some licensing shortcomings of his own.

Bella Mooney, a newly empowered millionairess, heads for the village, she bumps into Niamh on the way and tells her of her plans to convert the Fitzgerald's into the first of a chain of Bella's Brasseries'. Quigley spots her and concerned that the signpost ruse hasn't worked, hurriedly instructs Liam and Donal to deal with it!

Orla O'Connell has arrived - she is the new priest's sister and is trying to find him. Liam and Donal mistaking her for Bella Mooney, point her in the direction of some distant hills, several miles from town.

Back in Bally K, Quigley spots the very same Mrs. Mooney and realizes there has been a mistake; he sets off to rescue the unfortunate Orla.

Niamh still unsure of what to do about her father's proposal decides to go for a walk by the river, she sees Sean Dillon and tells him about the pub. Later returns to Bally K and tells Quigley, that she will run the pub. The auction begins and tension mounts, as Quigley and Mrs. Mooney are left bidding. Bella Mooney's final bid is too high, everyone is devastated.

Niamh tells Bella that she is about to kill the beating heart of the community, by turning Assumpta's bar into a Brasserie, all the locals agree loudly and Mrs. Mooney decides to withdraw her bid. Quigley now owns Fitzgerald's.

As everyone gathers for a celebration drink, Dillon plucks up the courage to face the villagers and goes into the bar for a drink.
