SERIES 3 - EPISODE 10

PACK UP YOUR TROUBLES

Liam and Donal discovered they are transporting a load of paintball equipment for Quigley. Not understanding what it is, they are deeply impressed and pledge their loyalty to a bemused Quigley.

Bon arrives in town, the son of Quigley's partner in the paintball venture, and appointed as Quigley's assistant. Assumpta arrives back in town, saying her marriage to Leo is over. Siobhan tells Niamh that she is pregnant.

There is much hilarity about Quigley's latest enterprise at the pub. Bob turns up looking for somewhere to stay, and is obnoxious to everyone. Quigley's paintball course gets underway with the arrival of a busload of management trainees. Quigley and Bob put them through their paces, so they sneak off to the pub to escape them.

Brendan tells Padraig about Siobahn's pregnancy. Eamonn is disturbed late at night by Bob and a gang of the 'soldiers' on a night time exercise. Thinking he's being burgled, he shoots Bob in the bottom. Bob is injured and angry. Quigley makes him a partner to calm him down.

Siobhan sends a locum vet up to Eamonn's, who assumes it is Quigley's it is Quigley's lot returned. He marches him gunpoint down to the village. Siobhan announces that she and Brendan are going to have a baby. Niamh comes into pub to get drunk because she has stopped breast feeding. Brendan and Siobhan argue about Brendan's unwanted interference in Siobhan's affairs. Both find their position painful and difficult, despite having gone public with it.

Father Mac, having heard rumours, threatens Brendan about having a baby out of wedlock. Brendan faces him out. The pub regulars discuss the upheaval Quigley's scheme is causing in the village, and particularly the fact that Bob is looking to move there permanently. They decide to star a resistance movement to sabotage the operation.

The pub regulars discover where Quigley's night manoeuvres are to be held, hijack the van in which Donal is transporting them, and drive the soldiers way off course so they get lost. Brendan and Siobhan, who make up during the course of the night, shut another load of soldiers in a barn. Chaos ensues and Quigley's operation is finished.
