As the producer of attachments, Simon Heath has to keep a lid on every aspect of the show, from how it’s written and visualised to the editing and the dubbing of classic tunes on the closing credits.
A real challenge, Attachments is Simon’s first project as a producer after developing various projects at World for the last few years.
Simon was born in Birmingham in 1969 and attended the University of Nottingham, where he gained a First in English Studies and an MA in Critical Theory.
In 1993, Simon got ready to rumble when he joined teen drama Byker Grove as Script Editor. During his three years on the series, he also devised and wrote the comedy spin-off The Ant & Dec Show, which ran for two series on BBC1 before transferring to C4 as Ant & Dec Unzipped in 1996. He wrote four episodes of Byker Grove in 1996/97.
Simon joined World Productions in 1997, where he script edited Ultraviolet for C4, consulted on Ballykissangel and co-devised Black Cab for BBC2. He became a Development Producer at World in 1998.
He is currently also the oo-producer of Men Only for C4, which he co-devised.
