TIM
BAKER- Development Producer
Tim joined World
in 2003.
His first job in
television was script editing WHERE THE HEART IS for
United/LWT, after which he joined BBC Serials where
he developed and script edited a variety of projects
including CANTERBURY TALES and BABYFATHER 2.
Tim is currently
developing the third series of NO ANGELS.

PETER
BORLAND - Chief Accountant (aka Kamikaze Pete)
Born and bred in
Glasgow, Peter has forty years experience in the British
film industry with Associated-British Pathe, EMI, Thorn,
Transworld, Goldcrest and Working Title. Peter has been
with World Productions for fourteen years.
Numerous interests include: football - a Glasgow Rangers
supporter and a member of Southend United Supporters
Club. Peter had football trials for Southend and Basildon
and occasionally pockets money from fantasy football
competitions. Art - drawing and painting, cartoons published,
collection and renovation of die-cast models, bonsai
trees, minature gardens and poetry. He has just produced
his first book entitled 'THE RED GHOST', an adventure
thriller set in war-torn Russia in 1942.
He also enjoys computer
and strategy simulations - having recently conquered
"Medieval Total War" on the expert level. Peter was
Secretary of the Central London Darts League (formed
in 1958) and manager of former Goldcrest Films darts
team since 1986, before retiring his aging squad this
year. Peter still has time for a 40 hour working week
at World! |

PETRA
BURGIN - Head of Factual Development
Petra Burgin began
her television career working as a runner in entertainment
and then news at LWT.
She then got to travel to exotic locations around the
world producing and directing travel shows for Carlton
and LWT. After that, she had a stint tracking down dinosaur
eggs and filming kite surfers crossing the English Channel
for National Geographic.
In 2003 she produced a couple of pilots in-house at
the BBC, including the daytime strand, Mind
Your Own Business.She joined World in June
2005 to set up the Factual department.
As Head of Factual Development, she is responsible for
developing new ideas, finding on screen talent and nurturing
talented programme makers.

VICTORIA
FEA- Producer
Victoria Fea worked
for five years as a script editor (Pie in the Sky, A
Rather English Marriage, Hope & Glory) before becoming
a producer.
She made a couple of pilots in-house at the BBC (Hawkins,
Gentleman Thief) then went on to produce Waking the
Dead II.
In 2003 she left the BBC to make P.O.W. for Company/ITV,
then joined World in January 2004 to produce Outlaws.
She has stayed on to develop a range of projects.

TONY
GARNETT - Executive Producer
Tony Garnett began
his television career as an actor, appearing in the movie
The Boys, David Mercer's CND Trilogy for BBCTV and numerous
other dramas, including Z Cars.
From 1964-1969 he worked on The Wednesday Play and produced
many films for TV, including Cathy Come Home, The Lump
and The Gorge.
In 1969 he co-wrote and produced Kes, directed by Ken
Loach, from the book by Barry Hines.
Further feature films followed (The Body, Family Life)
before he returned to BBC TV with Brecht's The Resistable
Rise of Arturo Ui and Days of Hope.
He produced, wrote and directed Prostitute in 1979 and
Handgun in 1981. Working in Hollywood in the Eighties
he produced work as varied as Earth Girls are Easy, the
Sesame Street movie Follow That Bird and The Shadowmakers.
In 1990 Tony returned to the UK to run Island World Productions,
a new venture being set up by Chris Blackwell and John
Heyman.
His credits since then include Between the Lines, Ballykissangel,
This Life, The Cops and Attachments among others.

ELEANOR
GREENE - Producer
Eleanor was born
in Manchester and went to University in Birmingham where
she studied English and Philosophy. She returned to
Manchester to be a runner on QUEER AS FOLK for Red Productions
and then became a script editor, working on LOVE IN
THE 21ST CENTURY, CLOCKING OFF, and HAVING IT OFF a
sitcom for BBC3.
Last year Eleanor produced
INDIAN DREAM for BBC2, which won the Dennis Potter New
Writing competition.
Eleanor produced MURDER
PREVENTION for Five last year and is currently working
on a range of projects for her World development slate

HELEN
GREGORY- Producer
Helen joined World
in 2002 to produce NO ANGELS, a ten part drama series
for Channel 4. Her credits include work for the BBC,
ITV and Channel 4. She began her career as script editor
on the children's drama, BYKER GROVE and THE BILL.
She went on to produce
BYKER GROVE, EASTENDERS, GRAFTERS and IN DEFENCE before
joining Channel 4 as Commissioning Editor for Drama.
Helen currently works
as the Series Producer for NO ANGELS as well as developing
her own slate for World.

BRITT
HARRISON - Producer/Head of Feature Film Development
Britt joined World in 2003, with the start of the company’s
first-look deal with Columbia Pictures.
As Head of Feature Film Development, she oversees the
film slate: finding and developing material, encouraging
new talent, and consolidating relationships. As producer,
she is actively involved with Tony Garnett and John
Heyman in focussing and articulating the vision for
each of the projects, and finding financial partners.
Prior to Britt’s involvement with World, she worked
as a script consultant. Before that, there were various
exciting spells as a caterer (Tobe Hooper’s Space
Vampires), production co-ordinator (Merchant Ivory’s
A Room with a View) and camera assistant (Stephen Frears’
Prick Up your Ears).

SIMON
HEATH - Head of Television Drama/Executive Producer
Simon began his
career as Script Editor on the Geordie teen drama Byker
Grove in 1993. As well as writing and script editing
for Byker Grove, he devised and wrote the comedy spin-off
The Ant & Dec Show for BBC1, which later transferred
to C4 as Ant & Dec Unzipped.
Simon joined World in
1997, where he script edited Ultraviolet for C4 and
co-devised Black Cab for BBC2. From 1999 to 2001, he
produced Attachments I and II for BBC2, and co-produced
/ co-devised Men Only for C4. In 2003 he produced Larkin:
Love Again for BBC2 and executive produced No Angels
for C4.
In 2004 Simon Exec Produced
OUTLAWS for BBC 1/3, NO ANGELS
Series 2 and MURDER PREVENTION for Five. He also oversees
a number of current projects in development |
