Jo has thawed a little and
offers Anna a case to work on, much to her relief. In another
office nearby, O'Donnell is getting far too close to Milly.
He's slightly more original than "My wife doesn't understand
me" - but only slightly.
Warren tells his therapist
that he feels ready for a proper relationship and his wish
seems to be granted when a hunky motorbike courier named
Ferdy wanders into the office. They have eye contact - and
after a few drinks in the pub, full body contact. In fact,
Miles and Anna complain about the amount of noise they make
in bed. It seems as if someone is in a happy, uncomplicated
relationship at last but we know things are never that easy
in this series. When Warren gives Ferdy a sexy phone call
at home to let him know how he's feeling it's Ferdy's father
who answers the phone - big mistake for Warren, big surprise
for Dad. Ferdy appears at the house and he's furious. He
insists that he's not gay and to prove it, he's getting
married in two week's time. Warren is apologetic and confused.
He needs someone to talk to and turns to Dale, confessing
that he's gay in the process. Big mistake. Warren's big
brother reacts the way we all suspected he would and completely
rejects his brother.
Meanwhile, Egg and Jerry
are trying to out-sulk one another. Egg is depressed to
hear that Jerry has written a book. In an attempt to do
something positive he goes to the Job Centre but gets no
good news there. Jerry is depressed over the failure of
his marriage and his sudden change of circumstances and
turns to Anna for advice. As usual, Anna has no time for
their whining and tells Jerry to pull himself together in
no uncertain terms. You just know where this is leading...
