There are several messy situations
to be dealt with. The mess in the kitchen could easily be
cleared but Egg's current state is probably a more serious
challenge. Milly is growing increasingly annoyed with him.
We know that he hasn't filled in the application form for
the Sports Council job - and that she is going to be more
than a little disappointed when she finds out. They can't
even agree on a holiday together. She finds a willing confidate
at work - O'Donnell, whose sympathy is almost certainly
masking other motives. Egg needs to unburden himself too
- Miles is his choice of confidante, and Egg confesses that
he hasn't felt like having sex for weeks. Helpful Miles
offers his collection of porn mags as a possible solution.
Montgomery, Miles's father,
tries a spot of bridge-building but instead of finding his
son at home, he finds Anna. She tries to help their relationship
along but only succeeds in messing things up for Miles.
And things are still pretty disastrous between Warren and
his brother Dale - Warren just can't get round to telling
him that he's gay.
However, the main reason
that fans remember this episode is because this is the one
where a drunken Anna goes back to chambers with Jo and gets
down to some serious bonking - on Miles's desk (an interesting
choice of location!). Jo is clearly impressed, Anna
clearly just wants a one-night stand - someone's ego is
bound to get hurt.
