'I used to want to right all the wrongs in the world when I joined. But now it's just a job. I think it was just the years of how people treat you when you're in uniform. It gets you down a bit…(sub) So now I don't look for any fights at all… (sub) I put on my uniform, do my shift and go home.'

'What do I know about the police? Well, the suicide rate in the police is very high. There's only dentists that have a higher suicide rate than the police. Now whether that's because they're looking down someone's throat all day I don't know. But builders are way down. They have a fantastic life.'
