SERIES 2 - EPISODE 3

IN THE CAN

Quigley decides to make a tourist film advertising Ballykissangel. With Liam and Donal as his crew, he blocks the main street as he tries to film Eamonn, dressed suitably 'Oirish' and riding a donkey. But the donkey goes out of control and Eamonn falls off. Eamonn however is bitten by the showbiz bug and continually plagues Quigley's filming in order to get in another appearance on film.

Peter decides to hold a Sunday Mass aimed at young people. He goes to Cilldargan and looks for Gospel music, and asks Enda to play at the mass (Kathleen is mortally offended when Peter says she won't be needed as organist.) Father Mac is cautious, but keen on anything that gets more people into the church.

Niamh is taking her pregnancy very seriously and has decided to develop food cravings. She insists that poor Ambrose eat whatever she eats.

The filming has moved to Kathleen's shop. Quigley argues with Kathleen over her lines. Quigley is then concerned that they haven't managed to get a celebrity to narrate the film. Peter convinces him to do it himself.

Quigley films Siobhan delivering a calf, but Donal, the soundman, faints at the sight of blood.

Quigley films Enda singing. Sunday morning, and the day of the folk mass. Enda is setting up, as is Quigley, who is to film it. The mass is a success, but Donal fails to record any sound on film.
