Scott Bunce - A Runner's Tale

You might think that all runners do is make tea and coffee, but you'd be dead wrong. They actually have a lot of responsibility and are often the first up and the last out. "On this production we get the artists in the morning from home, pick up artists. Drop them off on set, put them through make up, put them through wardrobe." Scott explains. "Occasional tea and coffee, but not too much of that on this. I've done my fair share of that. But this is lovely. No, we just look after everybody and generally have a nice time. Run around and take care of everybody."

Typical Day

Get up at about 5am, get ready and go to pick up your actors. Take them to set and co-ordinate hair, make-up and wardrobe. Brekkie. Then using your Motorola GP Radio S300 communicate with various members of the crew about which actors are needed on set at what time, lots of running around. Lunch. Maybe some packages to drop off or pick up. More actor co-ordinating and then drop off some actors before heading home absolutely knackered about 12 hours later.
