SALLY ROGERS
Naturally, Sally Rogers is nothing like the conniving Yvonne.
"I can come out with good put-downs but not in the same vein as Yvonne. My put-downs come across in a more northern and friendly way. I'm not as alienating as her - well at least I hope not!"
Although Manchester-born Sally took an O Level in Drama and quite enjoyed it, she trained to be a children's nanny. Her employer saw that she was talented and encouraged her to move on. Her first job after leaving drama school was playing Nancy in Oliver Twist at the Bristol Old Vic and television work soon followed.
While researching Yvonne's character for attachments, Sally found one thing very common amongst the female ad execs.
"Big high shoes. So that was the first thing that I wanted for my outfit, I wanted high shoes, grown up shoes." She also describes Yvonne as the kind of woman who would take about two hours to get ready in the morning.
"She works in marketing and that's a job where people will look at you and make a judgement." Sally explains, adding. "She's a joy to play though and I do like her. She needs a bit of loving and someone who will make her relax."
