DAVID WALLIAMS
One thing that most actors would kill for is a good sense
of comic timing. Luckily David Walliams doesn't have to
worry about that kind of thing because he was born with
an extra large funny bone.
"I actually was kind of doing comedy thinking that would
be a good way to get into acting and then I mainly did comedy
for a number of years but now I'm acting."
David reckons that his character Jake in Attachments has
all his worst traits.
"He's all the worst sides of me. Quite anal, he's the designer
in the office and I don't think he's a very happy person.
He seems to have a lot of issues...he obviously had a difficult
childhood."
Attachments is quite a departure for someone who hilariously
impersonates pop icons with fellow comedian Matt Lucas and
larks about on TV with Reeves and Mortimer among many other
things. David finds the show fun to work on particularly
the variety of emotions that he has had to play as Jake.
"What I like about it is that it's like little bits of life.
And when someone's written the dialogue for you it's kind
of more perfect than life."
David has recently filmed
a 'Rock Profiles' special and appeared as a ghost hunter
in 'Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)'. He's now working with
Matt Lucas on a second series of the Radio 4 show 'Little
Britain'.
