BRANDON - Mad
Genius Boy
Brandonís 23, a misfit from nowhere in particular. His father
was a civil servant in the army, so his childhood was spent
being shipped around various military bases. They moved around
constantly when he was a child - German, Cyprus, Singapore,
Malta and sporadically England, so consequently heís got no
long-term friends. That doesnít bother him: he thinks itís
normal
Brandon disappeared into the Net and has never come out. He's
the Uber Nerd of the office. Socially inept, yet strangely
compelling in his manic excitement for technology.
He's surprising at times, still a virgin, though an expert
in cybersex. He diverts his frustrations through games and
role-playing fantasy stuff. Brandon sees himself as a warrior
in the vanguard of the cyber space frontier.
Brandon thinks Jake's a fuckwit who fails to appreciate the
finer intricacies of the Net. Jake thinks Brandon's a dysfunctional
nerd, but knows not to crush him too much. Brandon's a genius
that the business needs.
Reece becomes a good friend - one of the first that Brandon's
ever had. It's an equal relationship to some extents. Reece
is very interested in bringing him onto the Dark Side of the
Force. He sees Brandon as the gateway to making his Net-scams
work. Brandon sees Reece as his way into sex, he hopes for
some crumbs from Reece's table.
