LUCE - Strong
Persuader
Luce is slim, middle class and attractive, although she doesn't
always think so. She's the only girl of a well-off Home Counties
family.
Underneath her veneer, Luce lacks confidence. She's concerned
by what people think and embarrassed by her own needs. She's
dynamic without being a drama queen and will rarely crumble
to tears, and then only in front Mike.
Luce is fearful of pissing her life away. She's nearly thirty
and the pressure to do something is immense and growing. Despite
a good start in publishing, she never really achieved the
promotions she wanted. The site has to succeed, because deep
down, if it fails then so has she.
Luce rarely acts impulsively or irresponsibly, though is secretly
thrilled when others do. She often wishes she could worry
less and loosen up a bit. Luce thrives on activity, feeling
best about herself when she is achieving and has the validation
of others.
Mike's integrity roots Luce, and keeps the door to insanity
firmly closed. Theirs is an easy relationship with an honest
understanding of each other grown out of years of marriage.
Despite Luce's strident leadership, theirs is a partnership
of equals - she wouldn't put up with anything less.
