JUSTIN PIERRE

Ask actor Justin Pierre how he caught the acting bug and you won't get the answer, you're expecting.

"Well I wanted to be a cameraman when I was about 14," He explains, "but you needed physics and I was rubbish at physics. Because I enjoyed acting anyway I just thought to myselfÉNo, I wanna try acting, I'll come above cameraman and I really started to enjoy it."

Since drama school, Justin has deftly handled a variety of roles from Shakespeare's Othello, Tybalt and Oberon to a gay detective in Burnside and the serene Mike in attachments.

"I just like articulating different people's voices." Pierre adds. " You've got all these different people in the world and when you act you're given a big chance to be this character and that character and I just like to articulate the voices of these people - that's what I love about it."

Justin enjoys connecting with an audience and maybe challenging their perceptions about other people and themselves.

"I'm not saying everything you do has an affect on people," he comments, "but I do believe it can change people in a positive way."
