ELISABETH MARMOUR

Many of us would be lucky to fit into those sharp little suits, that Mike and Luce's lawyer Katherine wears on a good day, but Elizabeth Marmour managed it half way through her pregnancy.

"I was working until I was five months pregnant and after that I couldn't quite squeeze into the outfits any more, so I'm taking a little pause and hopefully I'll be back at work in the New Year."

Born in England, the daughter of a rabbi, Elizabeth immigrated to Canada at 16. She returned for long enough to study acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama before moving back to Canada for a further ten years of work.

"I did a lot of theatre work in Canada and worked with some of the greatest actors there...I liked it a lot, but I moved back to be with my now-husband Anthony and we've settled here."

Elizabeth is gentler and more compassionate than Attachments' Katherine, but she admits that she relishes dabbling with the darker side in her acting work.

"I don't shy away from not being that nice, I don't think you have to be a goody two-shoes all the time. The more theatre you do the more variety you get to play because you get a wider age bracket and you're not quite as bound by looks, but on screen and television...there have been a lot of professional bitches, put it that way."
