MIKE
- Net Music Maestro

Mike's acceptance of anything life throws at him owes much to the happy bustle of his childhood. Mike's warmth hides a shyness that his family challenged by buying him a keyboard for his fifth birthday.

His musical talent was obvious. Later, he was drawn to musical fringes - the burgeoning indie scene in Manchester in the early '90s, or the techno scene of mid-90s London. But Mike became tired of the machinations of the music business - dodgy gig promoters, corrupt A&R men, constant bandwagon jumping.

Simultaneously, he became drawn to the (then) cult world of the Internet. He revelled in the funny, provocative, intelligent, 'underground' sites he found. Moreover, the Net was the perfect way of leaking his music to an audience both potentially huge and - ideally for Mike - anonymous.

The site crackles with Mike's vision, sparking with attitude that's both inspiring and informative. Mike's very funny, with a dry, self-deprecating wit that makes him great company. But though he might appear laid back, he's no pushover. Mike's passionate about his site - if someone betrays him or his site, he'll blow.
