The BBC was raising rates etc.Well some diehard fans in Maryland got together and had a drive across the country for money. --Needed $50,000 and raised $52,000. I dont know exactly how many seasons we are behind here, but when I saw a bit of Eastenders in Ireland 2 years ago the series seemed to be years and years ahead. It is also funny I cannot find it on DVD. It would make a great present for my better half. thanks for the info IP: Logged

Last week the lady in the cafe was trying to get a piece of toast out of the toaster with a knife (before unplugging it) and got a charge of 220 volts. None of the main British soaps are released on DVD, except for occasional compilation DVDs of 'best bits', so I don't think you'll ever find it Ted. Eastenders has been on all year round for over twenty years. Coronation St (e/e's main rival) has been on for nearly 50 years. That would be an awful lot of DVDs!! (this is why i keep flunking maeve's quizzes.) but now, having seen that scene again, and with the Norwegian gone until monday, and with a whole stack of DVDs at my disposal...... let's put it this way: i won't get a lot of reading done the rest of this weekend, i think.
