Roderick Seligman

Roderick Seligman joined World in 1997 as the director responsible for commercial, legal and financial matters. He was promoted to Managing Director in 2004 and his responsibilities include raising and negotiating finance for World's television and film projects, where he has introduced several new financing techniques  including the first sale and lease-back transaction which was fully funded by the BBC. Recently he won the race to secure the first completed TV high end tax credit.

Formerly he worked at merchant bank Lazard Brothers in the City where he was engaged in some of the major mergers and acquisitions transactions of the 1980's. Roderick then moved on to Yamaichi (at the time a leading Japanese investment bank) where he pioneered some of the first M&A transactions between Europe and Japan. He moved into television production in 1990 as finance director of TVF plc, a documentary and factual production company.

He qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen and has an MBA from Insead in France.
